WHS Dashboard wont start after reinstall

Help!

I just upgraded to iso mounter version 1.30 from version 1.20 and now the Dashboard wont open.

Hi CodyS,

Did you uninstall the older version of ISO Mounter before installing the upgrade? Not doing so could cause conflicts resulting in a non-responsive dashboard.

Try these steps:

1. Remote Desktop (RDP) into your WHS
2. Select Start | Control Panel | Uninstall A Program
3. Select "ISO Mounter" from the program list and then select Uninstall
4. Open the WHS Dashboard (it should open now) and select the Add-ins tab, select "ISO Mounter", and select Remove The Add-in
5. Reboot your WHS (just to be sure all busy files are purged)
6. Re-install the ISO Mounter add-in on your WHS

Thanks Sarah! I appreciate your VERY quick response.

To be honest I am not sure if I uninstall the old version of the add-in before upgrading. Anyway ... I followed your steps and that resolved my issue. My Dashboard is back online and iso mounter is installed and running.

Hi Sarah

I have got the same problem with ISO mounter - WHS Dashboard hangs after reboots - also it is clear not all ISO files are mounted after reboot. I have uninstalled ISO mounter twice now and reinstalled but the problem persists. This was clean install - no prior version (as far as I am aware).

The only other point to make is that I downloaded the wrong version of ISO mounter first (for v.1) but that would not install - any chance that there are remnants of that around? I cannot find any directory in the program files are that indicates a partial install.

All help would be appreciated.

Hi Jasper,

Does the Dashboard always hang after a reboot or only on the first attempt? Is the hang resolved after you uninstall ISO Mounter?

You can try a fresh install:

1. Uninstall ISO Mounter
2. Delete the folder "C:\ProgramData\IsoMounter" and all contents (note "ProgramData" is a hidden folder by default so you might need to enable viewing hidden folders in the Windows Control Panel)
3. Delete the folder "C:\Program Files\ISO Mounter" and all contents
4. Reboot your WHS
5. Re-install ISO Mounter

Hopefully this resolves the issue you are seeing.
